We want to reach every girl with the message of worth; the girl next door, the girl in danger, the girl in northern Canada and girls abroad. We believe that every girl needs to know about her intrinsic worth and we are on a mission to tell her!
H I S T O R Y
The SHINE and STRENGTH programs came out of an organization called City Care by Hillsong in Australia, in order to help build the community. The SHINE and STRENGTH programs have been running since 1997 and are in over 30 different nations with 20,000 people impacted. These programs have recently been translated into 7 different languages.
While studying in Australia, Madison became a trained SHINE facilitator and realized that the impact the program had on school-aged girls in Sydney would be incredibly valuable to girls in Canada. In 2015, she and a team of 15 people formed the SHINE Optimist Club of Canada, in order to bring out the best in kids and equip communities with the SHINE and STRENGTH.
