Hey Everyone, Madison here! This summer I had an amazing opportunity to partner with SendMe to bring portions of the SHINE and STRENGTH programs to people in Moldova. Each participant received an introduction booklet that explained concepts of value, courage, significance, and purpose. The workbooks were translated into Russian and Romanian and placed into the hands of over 1000 kids!
The male leaders from SendMe did a great job learning and teaching the STRENGTH introductory curriculum to the boys. The sessions were focused on teaching these young men about their significance and their courage. After the sessions, the boys played team building games to reaffirm the power of respect and the fact that “no man is an island”.
It’s amazing how some nail polish and lipstick can bring girls together. While in Moldova, I ran Worth sessions teaching girls that their value has nothing to do with their circumstances, what people say they or how they’ve been treated. Girls of all ages listened to the timeless story of value and purpose all across Moldova while the team painted their nails, placing value on womanhood and treating girls with respect and worth.
We’ve been invited to come back to Moldova again next year, and are looking forward to the opportunity to continue to impact this nation with the message of purpose!
